Dee Injuria

Interesting Information

Name:
Dee Injuria
Number:
39
Team:
Mile Die Club
Start Date:
November 2008 as a referee,
October 2009 as a derby girl.
Height:
Shorter than you’d think, but taller than her partner – and that’s all that really counts.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Dee’s got balls… well, at least according to last year’s trophy.

Derby Assets:

Tenacity, strength, ability to interpret the rules for her own benefit.

Special Derby Move:

The Injuria Injurer – shoulder slam coupled with tennis-player grunt and the occasional illegal elbow.

Greatest Derby Moment:

Making it through 2009 Fresh Meat – and making a spectacle of herself afterwards.

Derby Injuries:

Routinely knocks ribs out of place, cartilage tear plus associated cyst on left knee, dislodged tailbone (Dee is more than happy to inform anyone interested in dislodging their tailbone about the embarrassment and awkwardness the treatment causes).

Origin of Derby Name:

’De Injuria’ is a legal term meaning ‘concerned with wrongdoing’. As a 2009 referee concerned with the wrongdoing of the skaters, it seemed appropriate. As a 2010 derby girl, concerned with causing as much wrongdoing as possible, it still seems appropriate.

Motto:

If you can’t beat ‘em, INJURIA ‘em!
