Fresh Meat
So, you wanna be a rollergirl?
Love roller derby so much you want to skate in it?
Firstly, you must be over 18 to play, and you should consider your willingness to commit fully to the sport. Training is hard work, both physically and mentally. Also, ADRD is a 100% skater-run organisation, so you'll need to be prepared to contribute time and energy to the league's off-skates activities as well.
Still keen? Watch this space for information on Adelaide Roller Derby's next fresh meat intake (usually late September).
Now, put on some rollerskates and start getting your skills in practice. Research roller derby on the web, and come along to as many bouts as you can.
Public rollerskating sessions are held weekly at recreation centres around Adelaide, such as St Clair Recreation Centre in Woodville (Saturday afternoons), Blackwood Recreation Centre (Sunday afternoons) and Ingle Farm Recreation Centre (Friday evenings). Contact each centre directly for further information about session times, rink fees and skate hire.
